Herald of the Titans in Patch 5.0.4
After a few weeks of post-expansion raid hiatus the idea was thrown around that a few of us level some 80 alts, and go back in to Ulduar to get Herald of the Titans.
In case you aren’t up to date with your Wrath achievements, in order to meet all of the specifications, you need to kill Algalon the Observer using only level 80 characters, only using gear obtained from Ulduar 10 and below (under iLevel 226). This meant farming Ulduar for weeks and gearing up our level 80 alts in order to attempt to kill arguably one of the hardest bosses of Wrath.
So, after about 4-5 lockouts, countless dungeons, and some frustrating last minute scurrying to find obscure Wrath reagents, we managed to kill Algalon (with only 9 people!). All in all, a fantastic nostalgic filled journey ending with us once again saving Azeroth from certain destruction. All in a days work.
